Some Notes from Andrea.
From year 2024 onwards, I am selective about students. Why?
I am interested in students who need help and believe in my teaching skills and philosophy.
I think it is very clear looking at all information provided on my website, from my credentials to students achievements.
My Teaching skills and Philosophy
My Violin students learn every grade up, even from they were beginners. (Yes, this is a fact.)
I do not allow skipping grades, whether it is lower or higher grades. Why? I firmly believe in serious mastery of the violin. (No any-hows) in it. Skipping is not smart, learning much less and it shows in one's playing or at an DSA or String Ensemble audition.
How I teach to produce 'solid playing' is my skill and ability. (how skilful a teacher is in teaching.)
Wondering about my outstanding results from students even though they did not skip grades?
Because... (how skilful my teaching is), so attending my classes regularly, at least 4 hours a month). There are no pure geniuses by practicing only.
My skills and ability to develop their playing to the next level,
My teaching pace is fast and students learn to pick up fast. Progress also depends on their effort as well, apart from my teachings and how supportive parents are.
They too believe and align with my philosophy in learning and accumulating technical skill in violin playing, musical maturity development from beginner to advanced levels and how skilled a teacher is as well, which the layman may not comprehend about the journey behind performing arts... Thus, I am selective about students.
